Lovely Blooms

I found these gorgeous blooms from
a holiday a number of years previous
when i visited the Werribee Mansions
and the grounds had  abundance of flowers

I like the design of the sketch so I just had to have a go.

the beautiful background paper is from Maja Designs
i just gave it a coast of gesso to lighten the colour
and of course my usual texture paste masking and misting
i don't usually use maroon so i was lucky to
                                                             find some old Prima flowers

Oh wow, this has so much drama and passion. I love how you incorporated the dramatic colors from the photo subject and brought it out on to the page. Awesome take on the sketch. Thank you for playing with us at Keeping The Best.
